Representatives of CIS women’s organizations met in MinskOn June 1, 2006 an international meeting of CIS women’s organizations “Woman. Mother. Peace” took place in Minsk at the premises of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was chaired and addressed by Mrs. Nadezhda Ermakova, Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Standing Committee for Economy, Budget and Finances, leader of the Belarusian Women’s Association and Chair of the Belarusbank Board.
The participants discussed issues dealing with empowerment of women and their contribution to social, economic and humanitarian development of states.
