Gennady Novitsky spoke at the OSCE conferenceOn April 18 — 19, 2006 the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Gennady Novitsky participated in the conference «OSCE: Security in Europe and Risk Management». The conference was held in Brussels in the framework of the Belgian presidency in OSCE.
In the speech delivered by Mr.Novitsky at the plenary meeting he summarized the contribution of Belarus to European energy security, fight with terrorism, international crime, human and drug trafficking. He also stressed the importance of international cooperation in eliminating the aftermath of the Chernobyl accident.
Within the conference Gennady Novitsky met with the Chairman of the Belgian Senate Mrs. Anne-Marie Lizin, members of the IPU «Belarus — Belgium» group, heads of national delegations participating in the conference.
