Italian parliamentary delegation visited BelarusThe visit of the Italian parliamentary delegation headed by the member of the Standing committee of the Senate of Italy for Budget issues, vice-president of the parliamentary group «Union of Christian democrats»  Mr. Ivo Tarolli took place from 29 January to 1 February 2006.
On January 30, 2006 Chairperson of the National Assembly Council of the Republic Standing Committee For Foreign Affairs and National Security Mr. Nikolai Cherginets met with Italian parliamentarians. Present at the meeting also were Mrs. Natalia Andreichik, Chairperson of the National Assembly Council of the Republic Standing Committee For Legislation and State Administration and Mrs. Alla Ralkevich, member of the Standing Committee For Foreign Affairs and National Security.
The parties discussed the issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Belarus and Italy, development of bilateral economic, technical and humanitarian  contacts. Mr. Cherginets expressed gratitude to Italian people for their assistance in the rehabilitation of belorussian children.
That day Chairperson of the National Assembly Council of the Republic Standing Committee For Economy, Budget and Finances Mr. Stepan Pisarevich received the Italian guests. Present at the meeting also was Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee for Social Matters Mr. Boris Chrustalev. During the conversation the parties exchanged views on the role of national parliaments in the implementation of the economic policy of the state. |
