Chairman of the Council of the Republic met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan

On April 5, 2006, the Chairman of the Belarus National Assembly Council of the Republic Mr. Gennady Novitsky met with G.Aldamzharov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus on the occasion of His Excellency’s end of mission. Present at the meeting also was Mr. Nikolai Cherginets, Chairman of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and National Security.
The Chairman of the Council of the Republic thanked Ambassador Aldamzharov for his contribution to the development of cooperation and deepening of mutual understanding between the Republics of Belarus and Kazakhstan. During G.Aldamzharov’s mission in Belarus the bilateral relations between the countries received a new impetus, primarily in the commercial and economic sphere.
In his turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan stressed that the countries’ stands on various international issues practically always come very close. At the same time, he thought that there was still considerable potential for enhancing cooperation in commercial, economic and investment fields.
The parties underlined that the two countries had for many years cooperated constructively both within the CIS and in the international arena.
In concluding, Ambassador Aldamzharov thanked Gennady Novitsky for the assistance he had been granted during his stay in the Republic of Belarus.
