Matters of serious concern Mrs. Lyudmila Postoyalko, chairperson Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Council of the Republic for  Demographic Security and Social Development, met Ms. Suzanne Egloff, representative of the Swiss Red Cross organization, and Ms. Elena Krylova, coordinator the Consortium of the Austrian, German and Swiss Red Cross Societies.
The issues of providing vulnerable groups with medical and social support and offering them home care service were raised at the meeting. Mrs. Lyudmila Postoyalko voiced her hope that the further efforts of the Belarusian Red Cross Society Sisters of Mercy will make effective and qualitative medical and social services even more accessible.
Mrs. Lyudmila Postoyalko mentioned that the first step in this direction will be the implementation of the Programme of medical and social assistance to the lonely unconnected and disabled rendered by Belarusian Red Cross Society Sisters of Mercy for 2007 — 2011, which was designed by the Belarusian Red Cross Society in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
