Investment project issues debated January 15, 2007 Mr. Sumar, member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Council of the Republic for Foreign Affairs and National Security, head of Brest region executive committee, met Mr. Ma, Deputy President of the CLETC corporation of the People’s Republic of China. 
Brest region cooperates with 112 countries of the world and there are more than 500 companies with outside capital, Mr. Sumar noted during the talks. Degree of collaboration of Brest region with China has expanded significantly within the previous years: the trade  turnover amounted to 14,8 mln. USD after 11 months of the year 2006.
CLETC corporation is a large state enterprise that deals with economic cooperation with foreign countries, Mr. Ma stated in his turn. The corporation is planning to promote cooperation in such projects as sugar beet waste-handling, construction of juice manufactures and processing of colza into diesel oil.
“We are also ready to promote Belarusian goods in the Chinese market,” Deputy President of the CLETC corporation is quoted.
Within the 3-day visit Mr. Ma is going to meet the heads of large companies of the region.
