Born 28 March 1958 in Gomel.
Graduated from Byelorussian Polytechnical Institute (Electrical Engineer).
After graduation from Gomel Technical College of Railway Transport commenced as a worker of Mariy Section of the Central-Asian Railway, worked as an Assistant Operator of Compressor Units. Served in the Soviet Army. Worked as an Elevator Electrician, a Foreman, the Head of Sector No 8 of Gomel Measuring Instrument Factory; a Power Engineer of Mobile Mechanical Division No 163 of “ZapBamStroyMekhanizatsiya” Trust; the Chief Engineer of the Housing and Communal Services Division of “GomelPromStroy” Association; the Chief Power Engineer of “GomelPromStroy” Industrial Construction Association.
