The visit of the delegation of the State Council of Oman On 24 — 29 May 2009 the delegation of the State Council of Oman headed by its Chairman Mr Yehya Bin Mahfooz al-Manthari visited our country at the invitation of National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
Mr Boris Batura, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, had a meeting with the delegation. The sides discussed the state of inter-parliamentary cooperation, prospects for the development of bilateral trade-economic and other issues of mutual interest.
Within the framework of the visit the parliamentary delegation of the Sultanate of Oman had meetings with the headship of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the Mufti of Belarus Abu-Bekir Shabanovich. The members of the delegation got acquainted with the work of the Republican Unitary Production Enterprise “BelAZ”, Joint Stock Company “Amkodor”, Minsk Regional Unitary Enterprise “Agricultural Company “Zhdanovichi”, visited the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus.
