The visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman On 28 February — 3 March 2010 the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by Mr Boris Batura, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, paid an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Belarusian parliamentarians had meetings with Dr. Yahya Mahfoodh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Prince Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmoud Al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Esai, Chairman of Majlis A'Shura of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Salim bin Hilal Al Khalily, Minister of Agriculture of the Sultanate of Oman, Mr Maqbool bin Ali bin Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman, and Sheikh Saif bin Hamiyar Al Malik Al Shehi, governor of Nizwa Wilayat.
The sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman and the Agreement between the Belarusian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Oman on creating Belarus-Oman Business Cooperation Council.
The members of the Belarusian delegation visited the Sultan Qaboos University.
