The visit of the delegation of the People’s Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic On 22 June 2010 Mr Anatoly Rubinov, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, had a meeting with Mr Mahmoud al-Abrache, Chairman of the People’s Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic, during the visit of the Syrian parliamentary delegation to the Republic of Belarus.
The sides signed the Protocol to the Agreement on Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic of 3 August 2004, which provides for the creation of the common inter-parliamentary committee.
The Syrian parliamentarians had a meeting with Mr Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the headship of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
