Gennady Novitsky was born in 1949 in Mogilev, Belarus.
In 1971 he graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnical Institute and in 1988 — from the Academy of Social Sciences at the Communist Party Central Committee. He commenced foreman of the Mogilev Construction Trust N 12. From 1977 till 1981 he was instructor of the Construction Department at the Mogilev Regional Party Committee. In the 1981—1985 period he was chief engineer of the Mogilev Region Agricultural Construction Committee. From 1985 till 1988 he was head of construction department at the Mogilev Region Communist Party Committee and from 1988 till 1994 — head of the Mogilev Agricultural Construction Committee Board.
In 1994 G. Novitsky was appointed Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus, in 1997 — Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Belarus. In the 2001 – 2003 period he was Prime-Minister of the Republic of Belarus, while in 2003 – 2004 he was elected Chairman of the Republic of Belarus National Assembly Council of the Republic of the 2nd convocation.
On November 15, 2004 Gennady Novitsky was re-elected Chairman of the Republic of Belarus National Assembly Council of the Republic of the 3rd convocation.
Aleksandr Abramovich Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Council of the Republic of the 3rd convocation
Aleksandr Abramovich was born in 1944 in the village of Zabolotye, Nyasvizh District, Minsk Province, Belarus.
In 1964 he graduated from the Navagrudak agricultural school and in 1973 — from the Belarusian State University. He is Doctor of Law, professor, Merited Lawyer of the Republic of Belarus awarded with the Order of Honour.
A. Abramovich commenced agronomist in 1964 and worked on several farms in the Lida District for 5 years ending up instructor at the Lida Executive Committee.
From 1973 till 1988 he was post-graduate, researcher and acting head of department at the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences Institute of Philosophy and Law. In 1990—1991 A. Abramovich was member of the USSR Committee of Constitutional Supervision. From 1992 till 1996 he was Chairman of the Central Committee of the Republic of Belarus for Elections and National Referenda. Since 1996 he has been Deputy Head of the Republic of Belarus Presidential Administration. Concurrently, since 1988 till present he has been Head of Department at the Belarusian State University Faculty of Law.
On November 15, 2004 A. Abramovich was elected Deputy Chairman of the Republic of Belarus National Assembly Council of the Republic of the 3rd convocation.
