Nikolai Cherginets met with the Ambassador Eberhard Heyken, Head of the OSCE Office in MinskOn July 19, 2005 Chairman of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and National Security Mr. Nikolai Cherginets met with H.E. Ambassador Eberhard Heyken, Head of the OSCE Office in Minsk. On behalf of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Council of the Republic Mr. Gennady Novitsky and other members of the Council of the Republic Mr. Cherginets thanked Mr. Heyken for his work, understanding and constructive dialogue between the OSCE mission and the Council of the Republic. Taking into consideration the German diplomat’s return to his homeland in view of the end of his mission in Belarus and his on-coming 70th birthday the Belarusian senator wished His Excellency many happy returns of the day and success in his future activities.
In his turn the Ambassador E. Heyken thanked Mr. Cherginets for the warm words and mentioned the relations of friendly cooperation that had been established between the OSCE Office in Minsk and the bodies of state administration of Belarus. The Head of the OSCE Office also said that OSCE officials in Vienna highly appreciated the input that the Belarusian delegation had made to the development of relations between the Republic of Belarus and OSCE. |
