Chairman of the Council of the Republic met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan On December 8, 2005 the Chairman of the Belarus National Assembly Council of the Republic Mr. Gennady Novitsky met with His Excellency G.Aldamzharov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus. Present at the meeting also was Mr. Nikolai Cherginets, Chairman of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and National Security.
The Chairman of the Council of the Republic stressed that Belarus and Kazakhstan had cooperated quite effectively over many years and at various levels.  Kazakhstan always supports Belarus in the international arena and the countries’ stands on various international issues practically always come close. At the same time Mr.Novitsky thought that the bilateral parliamentary relations needed a new impetus.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan said that economic and political relations between Kazakhstan and Belarus had always enjoyed stability and he went on to inform the Belarusian Speaker of the highlights of the presidential elections recently held in his country which were considered democratic and fair by the international observers. |
