Nikolai Cherginets met with Nikolai Bordyuzha, GSTO Secretary General

       April 11, 2007 Nikolai Cherginets, Chairman Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and National Security, met with Nikolai Bordyuzha, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
       The parties debated a wide range of questions concerning priority areas of the newly established Parliamentary Assembly of CSTO. Nikolai Cherginets came up with a number of initiatives regarding CSTO’s obtaining an observer status in such organizations as the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The Belarusian senator thinks that the development of the inter-parliamentary cooperation within the framework of CSTO will contribute to the execution of projects in socio-economic, political, defence and other spheres.
