Aleksandr Yakobson receives delegation of Lubusz Voivodeship of Poland September 4, 2007 Mr Aleksandr Yakobson, Member of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic for Regional Policy and Local Self- Government, Chairman of Gomel Province Executive Committee, met with a delegation of Lubusz Voivodeship of the Republic of  Poland headed by Mr Krzysztof Szymanski, Marszalek of the Voivodeship. In the course of the meeting the spheres of cooperation were defined and a framework agreement, where the major avenues for the development of contacts between the two regions are outlined, was signed.
According to Mr Yakobson, cooperation in the areas of education, culture and sports represents a mutual interest. Our parliamentarian emphasized that Lubusz Voivodeship’s experience of tourism development was useful for the Belarusian party.
The members of the delegation also got acquainted with the work of industrial and agricultural enterprises and visited cultural centres of Gomel Province.
