Nikolai Cherginets meets with Giuseppe Carboni, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus on Sardinia (Italian Republic) On 18 January 2008 Nikolai Cherginets, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic for Foreign  Affairs and National Security, met with Giuseppe Carboni, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Cagliari (autonomous region of Sardinia, Italian Republic).
The parties discussed the issues relating to the cooperation of Belarus and Italy in trade and economic, investment, cultural, scientific and educational spheres. Special attention was given to the state and prospects of cooperation on the interregional level and to the health improvement programmes for underage citizens of the Republic of Belarus in Italy and cooperation of organisations of writers.
