Nikolai Cherginets meets with Wu Hongbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus On 17 March 2008 Nikolai Cherginets, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic  for Foreign Affairs and National Security, met with Wu Hongbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting the parties discussed various aspects of the bilateral cooperation, including political, cultural and economic spheres. Special attention was devoted to the promising areas of investment cooperation, professional interaction of the organisations of writers of Belarus and China as well as the ways to foster ties between major universities of the both countries. Besides, Mr Cherginets talked on the results of the visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China that occurred at the end of 2007.
