Mr Nikolai Cherginets and Mr Anatoly Malofeev had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Mrs. Veka Inal

       On April 30, 2008 Mr Cherginets, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic for Foreign Affairs and National Security and Mr Malofeev, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic for Regional Policy and Local Self-Government, Head of the Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Cooperation with the Grand National Assembly of Turkey met with Mrs Veka Inal, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey.

       The parties stated the high level of interaction between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Turkey in all spheres. Mr Cherginets expressed his appreciation for the support that Turkey rendered to the Republic of Belarus in universal and regional international organisations. He also pointed at the necessity to facilitate the links in the field of connecting the literati of Turkey and Belarus. Mr Malofeev emphasized that mutual visits of parliamentarians and inter-parliamentary partnership groups’ activities contributed greatly to the strengthening of bilateral parliamentary links.

       Mrs Veka Inal in her turn pointed to the fact that the spirit of cooperation, partnership and strong friendship dominated in the interstate relations. The Turkish side is going to continue supporting the Republic of Belarus on the international scene and to facilitate the bilateral commercial, economic and cultural links.
