Mr Anatoly Rubinov had a meeting with Mr Ferenz Kontra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary On 17 November 2009 Mr Anatoly Rubinov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Deputy Head of the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic  of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Hungary, had a meeting with Mr Ferenz Kontra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to the Republic of Belarus, in the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on his request.
During the meeting the sides discussed the development of Belarusian-Hungarian inter-parliamentary contacts at the level of parliamentary cooperation groups as well as the possibility of bilateral trade, economic and humanitarian links intensification. Mr Anatoly Rubinov expressed gratitude to the Hungarian side for organizing the visit of the delegation of the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to Budapest in the end of March 2009, when both sides confirmed mutual interest in extending inter-parliamentary cooperation and coordination of their positions in the international parliamentary organizations. The Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic underlined the importance of intensifying the relations between the Belarusian and Hungarian parliaments and noted that our countries have a great potential for cooperation in the sphere of economy, science and culture.
Mr Ferenz Kontra in his turn informed about the intention of the representatives of the Hungary-Belarus friendship group of the Hungarian National Assembly to make a return visit to our country.
The sides exchanged opinions on the domestic political situation in Belarus and Hungary, the prospects of Belarus — EU relations development and discussed topical issues of the international agenda.
