Ms Nina Mazai had a meeting with the Ambassador of the French Republic On 1 March 2010 a meeting of Ms Nina Mazay, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic for Foreign Affairs and National Security, Head of the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament of the French Republic, and Mr Michele Raineri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Belarus, took place in the Council of the Republic.
The sides discussed the condition and the possibilities of development of relations between Belarus and France and their inter-parliamentary cooperation as well as acute issues of cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and European parliamentary structures.
Ms Nina Mazay noted the intensification of bilateral activities on all levels and expressed hope for further positive dynamics of Belarusian-French relations and wished that they would become an example for building mutually rewarding relations with other European states.
Mr Michele Raineri in his turn expressed readiness to facilitate further strengthening of links between the Republic of Belarus and the French Republic, including those on inter-parliamentary level.
