Meeting with the Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia

      On 12 July 2010 Ms Nina Mazay, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Foreign Affairs and National Security, and Mr Sergei Maskevich, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives for International Affairs and Ties with the CIS, had a meeting with Mr David Darchiashvili, Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia. Mr Viktor Guminsky, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, had welcomed the Georgian parliamentarian before the meeting.

      The sides discussed the cooperation between the parliaments of Belarus and Georgia in the inter-parliamentary organizations and exchanged opinions on further development of the EURONEST (the Eastern Partnership parliamentary dimension) and the full-scale participation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in its work

      Mr Georgy Chkheidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Belarus, also took part in the meeting.
